An unusual blend from the warmer central vineyards in the high elevation Elqui Valley.
Made in a style similar to old world Italian, this is a very fruit driven wine that is juicy (not jammy). Intense ripe blackberry and plum fruits with a touch of vanilla and spice.
Pair with grilled meats and Mediterranean dishes.
The juicy and fruit-driven 2018 Carmenere Syrah mixes two grapes of strong personality and pungent aromas, and it comes through as intensely herbal, spicy and smoky, with ripe berries too and just a creamy touch. Only a fraction of the Syrah, which was 45% of the final blend, matured in oak barrels for six to eight months. The Wine Advocate February 2020
A 55/45 Carménère/Syrah from Elqui. Its attractive nose suggests blackberry, flesh and thyme. Juicy with a lively freshness, polished tannins and well-defined flavor. A sun-kissed wine with excellently judged ripeness.Vinous March 2020
