Specific block selections blend together for a Cabernet that structurally speaks to the terroir complexity of Maule.
Intense bright ruby red. Aromas of red currant, cassis, jam, dried herbs, and coffee. The spice comes out on the palate with notes of cherry, currant, and a touch of vanilla. It is juicy and finishes with smooth tannins.
A good match for grilled red meats such as a flank steak, barbequed beef, and creamy cheeses.

The juicy and spicy 2017 Block Series Cabernet Sauvignon was cropped from a warm vintage with some challenges for the grape, where the key was to be able to tame the grainy tannins. They started working with a vertical press, and it seems to have helped. They also harvested separately by soils and achieved better precision with the ripeness. This has a mixture of red and black fruit with some balsamic notes (camphor/mint) and a clean expression of the variety without the aid of oak, which was only used to oxygenate the wine without marking it with aromas. 26,000 bottles produced. The Wine Advocate February 2020
Crunchy minerality accents the concentrated red plum and cherry flavors, with minty hints. The snappy finish offers chocolate and Asian spice notes. Drink now through 2024.Wine Spectator May 2020
A Cabernet Sauvignon from Mingre, Maule, this is ruby red with clear-cut, fairly intense aromas of licorice, cherry, blackcurrant and herbs. Restrained on the palate, the fine, juicy tannins offer a long, fruity finish. An expressive wine.Vinous March 2020
